Selecting Phenotypes
Remember polygenic traits? This is where phenotypes are controlled by many genes that each make a small contribution to the final outcome.
These sort of traits normally produce a bell curve when plotted:
We can therefore see if natural selection is having an impact on a polygenic trait by looking at the distribution of this curve.
